To Revival Fires Ministry,

I am writing this letter to express in some small way my appreciation for the Revival Fires International Ministry and their efforts to distribute Bibles to every Marine, Sailor, Soldier, Airman and Coast Guardsman who is in harm’s way.  In particular, I am personally appreciative of these efforts because I have seen first hand the fruits of their labors.

I have served as a Chaplain in the 2^nd Marine Division, specifically serving as the Command Chaplain for the 2^nd Recon Battalion, Headquarters Battalion, 2^nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, and 3^rd Battalion, 2^nd Marines – eventually being selected by the Commanding General to serve as his Deputy Division Chaplain.  While in this capacity, I was tasked by the Commanding General, on relatively short notice, (within 48 hours), to replace a Chaplain in Kuwait, whose unit was preparing for combat operations in Iraq.  As a result of these short-fused unforeseen changes, I was left with few religious supplies, such as Bibles, to accomplish the mission.

This is where, I believe, Revival Fires International truly became a genuine hero in the War on Terror.  Not knowing where I was going to get a sufficient number of God’s Word for my men, I began to inquire from others about the possibility of securing Bibles.  The immediate response I received was that Revival Fires International had provided literally thousands of copies of the Word of God for the U.S. Military.  Needless to say, I could not pass them out fast enough.

It is amazing to see when one is faced with their own mortality how even the non-religious turn to the Word of God and prayer to find hope in their time of need.  I saw hardened men literally devouring these small Bibles as if it were the last sustenance known to mankind!

As a result of these Bibles being distributed and the power of the Word of God, I saw more than 60 combat-hardened men come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  In fact, I had the privilege of baptizing them in the Tigris River on Easter Sunday.

There is not a week that goes by that one of these men does not contact me in one way or another to say thank you, not to me, but to God, for the power of God that has transformed their lives – a power that was revealed to them by the Word of God. For this, I will be eternally grateful to Revival Fires International as well as all those who made such generous contributions possible.  THANK YOU!

***THE STARS AND STRIPES OF OLD GLORY***

I believe it is time for us to look again at the red, white and blue colors of Old Glory!  Even the name of our flag carries a spiritual emphasis. 

The red stands for a lot of blood-shed by the men and women in our military.  We must never forget this blood that has been shed to keep America free.  We all owe a debt of gratitude we can never pay to our men and women in America’s armed forces.  Some gave all…All gave some!

The white in our flag stands for purity.  From our birth as a nation, America has stood for righteousness.  Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”  (Matt. 5:8).  America must return to righteousness.

The blue in our flag stands for peace.  Across more than 230 years of our nation we have been peace makers and peace keepers.  Jesus says, “Blessed are the peace makers, for they shall be called the sons of God.”  (Matt. 5:9)

For many years we have watched in shame as people irreverently burned our flag, spit on it and stomped on it!  America has her faults, but as far as I am concerned, the American flag still represents the greatest nation in all the world…the good old U.S. of A!  These colors don’t run…and they don’t hide!  Neither were they earned to be burned!

I am proud to wear a flag lapel pen and place my hand over my heart when I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.  I am proud to be a flag waving fanatic, who loves his God and his country! 

Prayer and the Pledge to our flag is back in many of our public schools!  Thank God for it!

I was never more proud of former Arkansas Governor, Mike Huckabee, than I was when he sent a letter to all the school officials across his state, urging them to let the children pray in our public schools!  Many schools posted signs on their marquees that said, God bless America and Pray for America.

A public school in Ringgold, GA recently displayed three plaques in the hall way of their school!  One plaque was of the Ten Commandments, another was the Lord’s Prayer and the third plaque was blank, with a sign across the bottom that said, “This sign is for those who believe in nothing.”

Many people now know the cries of “Separation of Church and State” are no longer popular.  This line was never in the constitution of the United States anyway.  But it was in the constitution of the former Soviet Union.  God owns the church and He owns the state, anyway.  He is God and He is big enough to do whatever He wants to!  The only time we will have separation of church and state is at the rapture!

Thank God, many public schools are pledging to the flag and some are even praying in Jesus name!

The liberal news media and the politically correct want us to tolerate everything religious that comes down the pike.  “Just be sincere in whatever you believe,” they tell us!  That is a lie from Satan and the pit of hell!  Salvation is only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ!  He said, I am the way, the truth and the life.  No man comes to the Father, but by me.”

We must let the Muslims, the Hare Krishna’s, the Hindu’s, the Buddhist’s and all other cults and false religions know, “You are welcome to live in America…but this is a Christian nation…this is God’s country!  If you don’t like our emphasis on Christ, prayer and the Holy Bible, you are free to leave anytime!”  I believe I know some people who would gladly pay for your plane tickets, providing it is one way!

Finally, the power for this hour!

The heart of the problem is the problem of the heart.  God says, “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked.”  (Jer. 17:9)

Paul the apostle proclaimed, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation, to everyone who believes!”  (Rom. 1:16)

This election year, the problems facing our nation are not political, but spiritual…and there are no political solutions to spiritual problems.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news of His death for our sins, His burial and His glorious resurrection from the dead!

Many religious groups have their leaders, the Muslims, the Hindu’s, the Hare Krishna’s, the Buddhist’s.  But only Christians have a leader that has conquered death, hell and the grave…His name is Jesus!  His grave is empty because He is risen and is alive forever more!

Together, as God’s people, we must call America to repentance and prayer.  Prayer alone is not enough!  We must repent of our sins too!  God says, “If my people which are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then, will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land.

That means, it is not enough to sing or say God Bless America.  The axe of God’s judgment will continue to fall on our defenseless heads, unless we repent!  Patriotism in America is great, but it is no substitute for repentance.

Oh America, to your knees, night shadows lengthen fast,

soon judgment will descend, the day of mercy past. 

Our only hope is God.  On him we must rely. 

Oh church, to your knees, our God will still hear our cry!

Yes, I believe God is calling our nation to repentance.  My question is, are we listening?  We must repent or perish.  I join Paul in Romans 13:11 in saying, “It is high time to awake out of sleep.”  Wake up America, land that we love!

Our open air India Crusade in Palayamkottai brought a rich harvest of souls.  We thank the Lord that literally thousands of souls were saved.  What a joy in heaven over every sinner saved and every soul delivered from the clutches of Satan.   The Holy Spirit of God fell so strong in each service.

In this powerful crusade we witnessed hundreds of people being healed.  One man testified, “For the past five years I was unable to walk.  Now after prayer at the crusade, I have started to walk.  I felt my nerves being pulled.  God has touched my nerves.”  One lady who had been mute from birth was instantly healed.  The very first word she spoke was, “JESUS”.  She testified for a very long time.  I guess, after not speaking for 38 years she had a lot to say.  The crowd was roaring praises to the Lord!

It has become evident to me that India is entering a new spiritual era.  Things have changed so much for the better.  Last year’s crusade in Coimbatore was a complete success.  However, it is safe to say that this is the mightiest move of God I have ever witnessed.  An army of God’s people in India are ready to answer the call of God to “possess the land.”

Pastors from other parts of India came to the crusade and pled with me to come to their cities for crusades as well.  It is not the call from “little Macedonia” but a heart rending cry from the huge India Subcontinent.
I believe God wants to consume all of India with His Holy Spirit.  It can only take place with the fire and the power from above. 

Fire is not an extra, a reward for good service, or a spiritual luxury.  The Holy Spirit fire is not reserved just for the super-spiritual believers.  God does not keep His fire only for those who prove themselves, or keep all the evangelical rules of perfection.  Our need makes us worthy to receive!  It is God’s gift to all, “I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh.”  Fire is our first requirement if we are to be effective witnesses.  His will is our future.  Outside His will there is nothing.  If we don’t follow His purposes we are wasted products; scraps on the workroom floor.
