To Revival Fires Ministry,

I am writing this letter to express in some small way my appreciation for the Revival Fires Ministry and their efforts to distribute Bibles to every Marine, Sailor, Soldier, Airman and Coast Guardsman who is in harm’s way.  In particular, I am personally appreciative of these efforts because I have seen first hand the fruits of their labors.

I have served as a Chaplain in the 2^nd Marine Division, specifically serving as the Command Chaplain for the 2^nd Recon Battalion, Headquarters Battalion, 2^nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, and 3^rd Battalion, 2^nd Marines – eventually being selected by the Commanding General to serve as his Deputy Division Chaplain.  While in this capacity, I was tasked by the Commanding General, on relatively short notice, (within 48 hours), to replace a Chaplain in Kuwait, whose unit was preparing for combat operations in Iraq.  As a result of these short-fused unforeseen changes, I was left with few religious supplies, such as Bibles, to accomplish the mission.

This is where, I believe, Revival Fires Ministry truly became a genuine hero in the War on Terror.  Not knowing where I was going to get a sufficient number of God’s Word for my men, I began to inquire from others about the possibility of securing Bibles.  The immediate response I received was that Revival Fires Ministry had provided literally thousands of copies of the Word of God for the U.S. Military.  Needless to say, I could not pass them out fast enough.

It is amazing to see when one is faced with their own mortality how even the non-religious turn to the Word of God and prayer to find hope in their time of need.  I saw hardened men literally devouring these small Bibles as if it were the last sustenance known to mankind!

As a result of these Bibles being distributed and the power of the Word of God, I saw more than 60 combat-hardened men come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  In fact, I had the privilege of baptizing them in the Tigris River on Easter Sunday.

There is not a week that goes by that one of these men does not contact me in one way or another to say thank you, not to me, but to God, for the power of God that has transformed their lives – a power that was revealed to them by the Word of God. For this, I will be eternally grateful to Revival Fires Ministry as well as all those who made such generous contributions possible.  THANK YOU!

Celebrate Independence Day by remembering our U.S. soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan who are defending America in the war on terror by providing them a Bible.

There is a revival going on in Iraq and Afghanistan that most people don’t know about.  You’re not going to hear about this in the news media.  And these young men and women are turning to the Lord.

Command Chaplain Brian K. Waite is an individual that has been taking these Bibles right onto the bases in Iraq and Afghanistan.  As a result he has led so many soldiers to the Lord.  He has baptized many combat hardened men in the Tigris River.  They now call it the river of life.  Many times he has to baptize soldiers with helicopters over head, gun boats in the water and snipers in the trees because the muslim terrorists do not like Christian baptismal services.  We believe that all of the soldiers being saved need to follow the Lord Jesus Christ in water baptism.  Not into any denomination but into Christ.

We have had more soldiers commit suicide, take their own life, since January 1 than have been killed by the Taliban.  What is going on?  These young soldiers are not ready for what they are going into, emotionally and spiritually.  Militarily they may be ready but emotionally and spiritually they do not have the help they need.  That’s why it is important to get a Bible to them.

We are deploying 21,000 soldiers to Afghanistan right now.  We have provided Bibles by the thousands to Iraq, now we need to provide Bibles for these 21,000 soldiers that are being deployed to Afghanistan.  They are in the process of being deployed right now.  Some of them have already arrived.  21,000 soldiers, that translates into 840 boxes of Bibles. 

The Bibles are air lifted by military transport with no shipping charge.  All we have to do is to pay for the printing.  These 21,000 Bibles for Afghanistan have already been printed.  There are 25 Bibles in each case.  We started out a few weeks ago needing sponsors for 840 boxes.  We are down to about 600 boxes left to sponsor.  The Bibles will not be shipped until we get them all paid for.

We need your help in behalf of these soldiers.  We are able to bypass all of the check points and get them right into the hands of our soldiers.  There are thousands of Bibles at those check points because muslims are running them.  Some of our soldiers are given Bibles even before they are deployed.  It is helping to reach these soldiers for the Lord.

We need sponsors for 600 boxes of Bibles.  There are twenty five Bibles to a case, four dollars for each Bible, which means a gift of $100 would sponsor one box of Bibles and because of you twenty five soldiers will get a Bible.  If you sponsor two boxes, fifty soldiers will get a Bible.  Four boxes will sponsor 100 soldiers getting a Bible.  We have had people sponsor five boxes, ten boxes.  We have had two people sponsor fifty boxes of Bibles each with gifts of $5000.  To provide Bibles for our 21,000 troops being deployed to Afghanistan to defend America in the war on terror click here:  http://www.timtodd.org/bible_soldiers.html

Do our soldiers deserve it?  Yes they do.  They are putting their life on the line and many of them are lonely and afraid.  A Bible in their hand, the Lord in their heart is what is needed.

It would be a miracle if we covered the cost of all of the Bibles with this letter.  I am praying that some of you will sponsor a box of bibles.  I am praying that some of you will sponsor two boxes.  Some of you could sponsor three boxes, five boxes or even 10 boxes.

Our open air India Crusade in Palayamkottai brought a rich harvest of souls.  We thank the Lord that literally thousands of souls were saved.  What a joy in heaven over every sinner saved and every soul delivered from the clutches of Satan.   The Holy Spirit of God fell so strong in each service.

In this powerful crusade we witnessed hundreds of people being healed.  One man testified, “For the past five years I was unable to walk.  Now after prayer at the crusade, I have started to walk.  I felt my nerves being pulled.  God has touched my nerves.”  One lady who had been mute from birth was instantly healed.  The very first word she spoke was, “JESUS”.  She testified for a very long time.  I guess, after not speaking for 38 years she had a lot to say.  The crowd was roaring praises to the Lord!

It has become evident to me that India is entering a new spiritual era.  Things have changed so much for the better.  Last year’s crusade in Coimbatore was a complete success.  However, it is safe to say that this is the mightiest move of God I have ever witnessed.  An army of God’s people in India are ready to answer the call of God to “possess the land.”

Pastors from other parts of India came to the crusade and pled with me to come to their cities for crusades as well.  It is not the call from “little Macedonia” but a heart rending cry from the huge India Subcontinent.
I believe God wants to consume all of India with His Holy Spirit.  It can only take place with the fire and the power from above. 

Fire is not an extra, a reward for good service, or a spiritual luxury.  The Holy Spirit fire is not reserved just for the super-spiritual believers.  God does not keep His fire only for those who prove themselves, or keep all the evangelical rules of perfection.  Our need makes us worthy to receive!  It is God’s gift to all, “I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh.”  Fire is our first requirement if we are to be effective witnesses.  His will is our future.  Outside His will there is nothing.  If we don’t follow His purposes we are wasted products; scraps on the workroom floor.
