SCHOOLS SHOULD ALLOW OTHER SIDE OF HOMOSEXUAL DEBATE

I propose a challenge to public school officials across America.

On April 25, thousands of schools across the country will be observing the Day of Silence.  During this day of silence, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) will be promoting the homosexual lifestyle in public schools.  Unfortunately, this is a one-sided campaign with no opposing views allowed.  I hereby challenge the school administrations across America that have made a decision to recognize the DOS to allow a DOB day, Day of the Bible.  A day where kids are taught traditional family values, abstinence, commitment, truth, faith, love and heterosexual behavior.  A day where Bibles can be discussed and distributed without it being called “illegal.”

If thousands of schools across the country are going to allow promotion of deviant sexual acts to impressionable school age children and allow disruption of their educational day, then they should also allow a day where they can hear the other side of the story.  This one-sided campaign is discriminatory, unethical, and I believe unconstitutional because these children are not being told the whole truth.  Why should gays and lesbians be given special treatment because of their beliefs?

Allowing one argument without the other is wrong.  Young people should be allowed to make an informed decision regarding their sexuality by hearing the other side of the story.  DOS is sharing their beliefs unopposed.  By doing this, they are confusing young people more about their sexual identity and possibly causing permanent psychological damage.

It is not a free nation when both sides cannot express their own viewpoint.  If schools are going to allow a DOS day, then they should also allow a DOB day.  Why should public schools allow a whole day to support and give special rights for people of the same sex who engage in deviant sexual acts with each other?  Studies show that less that 1 percent of the population is homosexual.  It amazes me that the “left” are confident that pedophiles can be rehabilitated but that homosexuals are born that way and so they can’t change.  The fact is people are NOT born gay.  They choose to engage in this kind of sexual activity.  Homosexuality is a choice and schools that are determined to recognize the DOS day need to allow young people to hear the opposing view to they can have the freedom to choose their own sexual orientation.

The “left” have taken God out of school.  They have taken prayer out of school.  Yet, we allow gay and lesbian lifestyle beliefs into our public schools.  This is discriminatory.  This is not fair.  You call this America!  You call this freedom!  What kind of country is this which allows only one viewpoint to be expressed?

I hereby challenge school officials across America that have made a decision to recognize the DOS day to give young people a fair chance to make an informed decision regarding their sexual identity.

I hereby challenge school officials across America to allow a DOB day, Day of the Bible, so that young people can “choose” instead of being told to stay silent in agreement with deviant sexual behavioral acts.
